The Wiper Patriotic Front has issued a final reminder to politicians seeking its ticket in the 2027 General Election, directing all aspirants, including sitting elected leaders, to register by Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

The party said the requirement applies to both first-time candidates and current office holders seeking to defend their seats or contest different positions under its ticket.

In a statement issued on Monday, November 2, 2026, Wiper urged all interested candidates to complete their applications before the deadline, warning that no aspirant would be exempted from the registration exercise.

“Tomorrow, 3rd November 2026, is the DEADLINE for registration of ALL Wiper Patriotic Front aspirants seeking party tickets in the 2027 General Election! Whether you are a first time aspirant or a CURRENT ELECTED LEADER, nobody is exempted!” the party declared.

Wiper said the exercise was part of preparations for what it described as free, fair and transparent party nominations ahead of the August 10, 2027 General Election.

“Every aspirant must go through the process. Secure your chance to be on the ballot in 2027,” the statement added.

How Wiper aspirants can register

The party has directed prospective candidates to complete the process through its online portal at https://www.wiper.co.ke/aspirants.

Applicants are required to provide their personal details, including their national identification number, names, phone number and date of birth.

They must also indicate the county, constituency and ward where they intend to contest, select their preferred elective or nomination category and confirm their party membership status.

The online form also asks applicants to declare whether they are currently elected or nominated leaders.

Wiper has set different application fees depending on the position and applicant category.

Governor aspirants are required to pay Ksh50,000, while women, youth and persons with disabilities (PWDs) pay Ksh25,000.

Senatorial, National Assembly and Woman Representative aspirants pay Ksh20,000, with the fee reduced to Ksh10,000 for eligible women, youth and PWD applicants.

Those seeking Member of County Assembly positions pay Ksh10,000, while women, youth and PWD aspirants pay Ksh5,000.

Wiper previously extended registration deadline

The November 3 deadline follows an earlier extension of the registration period after Wiper initially invited aspirants to submit applications in September.

On September 1, the party announced that individuals interested in contesting various positions on its ticket in the 2027 General Election should register by October 3.

A separate notice issued on September 14 specifically reminded leaders already elected on a Wiper ticket to register by October 2 if they intended to contest in the next election.

However, on October 5, Wiper announced an extension of the registration period to November 3, including for those seeking party-list nominations.

The latest statement therefore serves as a final reminder to prospective candidates as the extended deadline approaches.

Registration does not guarantee Wiper ticket

The exercise is part of the party’s preparations to identify individuals interested in representing it in the next General Election.

However, completing the registration process does not automatically guarantee an aspirant a Wiper ticket.

Registered candidates will still have to participate in the party’s nomination process, which Wiper says will be free, fair and transparent.

The party, led by former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, is expected to compete for elective positions at both national and county levels in the August 2027 elections.

The registration drive also covers individuals seeking nomination through Wiper’s party lists, extending the exercise beyond candidates contesting directly for elective seats.

With the November 3 cutoff approaching, the party is urging both new entrants and incumbent politicians to complete the process if they intend to pursue their political ambitions under its banner.
