Voters urged to shoot President Ruto at the ballot
A day after Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) endorsed former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka as its presidential candidate, he embarked on a voter registration mobilsation drive in the Mount Kenya region. During the stopovers made by the United Opposition leaders in the region, Kalonzo called on the residents to register as voters in big numbers in the ongoing voter registration exercise that kicked off on September 29th, 2025 which has experienced a low turnout countrywide. The WPF party leader said the Patriotic Front was driven by observing the rule of law and wanted to use constitutional means to remove President William Ruto through the ballot and this to be achieved it has to be done by registered voters casting their votes to vote him out. “I urge all of you here to shoot Ruto at the ballot. If you have not registered as a voter, I implore you to register to vote. This is what will make Ruto a one term president,” he said. The tour was marked by two rallies in Embu county held in Makutano and in Kiritiri attended and addressed by party leaders that form the United Opposition group including Kalonzo (Wiper Patriotic Front), former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who is also the Democracy of the Citizens Party (DCP), Eugene Wamalwa (Democratic Action Party of Kenya), Justin Muturi (Democratic Party) and Martha Karua (Peoples Liberation Party)
