Wiper Patriotic Front Party is set to hold its National Delegates Congress on the 10th of October, this Friday, at Uhuru Park Grounds, Nairobi to set the tone for party’s road to the 2027 general elections.
Kathiani Member of Parliament (MP) and also the party's Organising Secretary said members from the broad based government are not welcome but have invited other political parties and formations including members from the diplomatic corps.
Mbui said the party led by former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka had decided to call the NDC earlier instead of waiting for few months before the elections to make key decisions that will prepare it for the next polls scheduled the year 2027.
Mbui who is the Wiper Organising Secretary said they wanted to discuss the Wiper party constitution, the proposed change of party name, 2027 presidential candidate and Ruto One Term crusade..
“Basically we shall be using the meeting as a platform of preparing for the next general elections in 2027 and by looking at the political situation in the country we need to have a conversation with our delegates so that they can give us their views as we go out to talk to the public in preparation for the polls, said Mbui when he led party officials and MPs in inspecting the NDC venue at Uhuru Park,“ said the MP.
Mbui is also the deputy Minority Whip in Parliament said as much as they will be taking talk of the presidential candidate to the delegates the party already has a candidate in Kalonzo Musyoka whom he termed as the best bet
The official said they have not invited members from the broad based government but others from other political parties and formations have been welcomed including members from the diplomatic corps.
