Ohaga chaired a 20-member task force, which was appointed in 2024 by Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen with a mandate to overhaul Kenya’s sports policy, legal, and institutional framework.
The committee, which concluded nationwide public participation in July 2025, presented the draft Sports Bill 2026 and National Sports Policy 2026 on January 30, 2026.
