Football Kenya Federation (FKF) released the revised Round 1 fixture list, confirming an action-packed eight-match schedule split across Saturday and Sunday.

Official league broadcast partner Azam TV will air five selected encounters live on television and via the Azam Max app, while non-televised fixtures will be open to home fans at local stadium gates.

The action gets underway on Saturday afternoon with four scheduled matches.

Mathare United play host to APS Bomet at Police Sacco Stadium in a 3:00 PM kickoff, while Posta Rangers face off against Shabana at Kirinyaga’s Wang’uru Stadium at the same time.

The weekend’s televised coverage begins at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Lang’ata at 2:00 PM, where Ulinzi Stars clash with FKF Cup holders Tusker live on Azam Sports 3 HD.

Saturday’s live action wraps up at Nyayo National Stadium at 4:00 PM, where defending champions Gor Mahia begin their title defense against Murang’a SEAL live on Azam Sports 2 HD.

Sunday brings four additional fixtures to conclude the opening weekend, featuring three live broadcasts for supporters tuning in at home.

Promoted side 3K FC face Mara Sugar at Moi Stadium in Embu at 2:00 PM live on Azam Sports 3 HD, running concurrently with anothe debutant Migori Youth taking on 2025 league winners Kenya Police at the Green Stadium in Awendo at 2:00 PM live on ZBC2. Over at Police Sacco Stadium, Nairobi United host KCB at 3:00 PM for stadium attendees.

Gameweek 1 concludes with a marquee showdown at Nyayo National Stadium at 4:00 PM, where last season runners up AFC Leopards go head-to-head with coastal giants Bandari FC live on Azam Sports 2 HD.The two teams settled for a point apiece accross the two legs last season.

Kakamega Homeboyz will not be in action for Gameweek 1 because their scheduled opening fixture remains sidelined by an ongoing legal dispute involving Mombasa United and Kariobangi Sharks.

The conflict stems from the implementation of the revised 2025 FKF promotion and relegation regulations, which saw 16th-placed Kariobangi Sharks automatically relegated while Mombasa United pushed for top-flight promotion.

Although the High Court recently granted permission for the rest of the league to proceed, it maintained an interim injunction specifically excluding the disputed slot pending the court’s final ruling, leaving the Kakamega based side without an active opponent for the opening weekend.
