Simba Arati, Aladwa, Kidero, Passaris Rally Support for Michael Ouma Majua in the Upcoming Kariobangi North by Election

Various top leaders in ODM have thrown their weight behind Michael Ouma Majua in the upcoming Kariobangi North ward by elections set to be conducted on November 27, 2025. Kisii Governor and ODM Deputy party leader Simba Arati, former Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero and ODM Nairobi chairman Makadara MP George Aladwa are the most recent ODM bigwigs to rally support for Majua as the Kariobangi North by elections approach. In a recorded voice note, Governor Arati rallied the people of Kariobangi to vote for Majua noting that he was best suited to take over as MCA owing to his track record in development. Arati noted that when he served as a councilor alongside Majua, who was elected in a by election in 2010, it took him just less two quick years to make an impact in development for the people of Kariobang North and it is time again for Kariobangi North to make the right choice by electing Majua as their MCA. The ODM deputy party leader drummed up support for Majua noting that his instant development in the area, coupled with his unwavering support for youth and talent development, particularly in sports speaks volumes. On his part, Aladwa recalled that Majua was voted in when Aladwa was the Nairobi Deputy Mayor before becoming the City’s last Mayor and he witnessed Majua bring instant impact within the Nairobi assembly commanding respect among his peers as well as initiating development in Kariobangi. “When I was the Deputy Mayor and then Mayor of Nairobi, Majua was elected in a by election to represent Kariobangi North and his impact at the assembly was instant. He brought development to the people of Kariobangi North and electing him again will see him propel the area in terms of development and better representation,” Aladwa said. The ODM Nairobi chairman noted that during the recent ODM Nairobi delegates meeting, Majua painted a picture of a steady leader who is ready to take over leadership and represent his people well saying that ODM had made the right choice in nominating Majua for the ticket. Former Nairobi governor Dr. Kidero praised Majua as an astute leader who has a passion for leadership and youth empowerment and one who has all capability to initiate development in Kariobangi North as well as improve legislation and representation in the Nairobi City County assembly. Kidero, who has declared his interest to recapture the Nairobi Governor seat in 2027 noted that for a formidable county government, the county assembly needs astute leaders who will help in the development of the Nairobi county government. Nairobi Woman Representative also praised the choice of candidate that the people of Kariobangi North made in nominating Majua to fly the ODM flag in the upcoming by elections. “The ODM members in Kariobangi have made the right choice in nominating Michael Ouma Majua. I have worked with him and his dedication to empowering women and youth especially through sports is exemplary. I have no doubt he will make a great MCA for the people of Kariobangi,” Passaris said.
