Nine times out of ten when someone is building or looking to move into a house, they will think of everything else but the security inside the house
Security firm, SGA Security, has urged real estate players including architects, interior designers, developers, and homeowners to integrate home security solutions right from the design stage. The appeal came during an art and home security exhibition hosted in partnership with Elements Luxury Living, dubbed “The Future of Home Security Solutions” which showcased how safety, simplicity, innovation and design can seamlessly coexist within modern living spaces. Drawing a select audience of industry professionals, developers, and homeowners, the exhibition sparked meaningful dialogue on the evolving role of intelligent security in Kenya’s real estate market. SGA Security showcased its comprehensive and innovative wireless home security solution, which integrates CCTV cameras, panic alarm systems, intrusion detection, medical emergency response, and home insurance designed to provide homeowners with continuous safety and peace of mind, while also enhancing property value. Speaking during the event, SGA Security Chief Commercial Officer Jackson Mbuthia emphasised the need to integrate security planning right from the property development stage, rather than treating it as an afterthought. “Nine times out of ten when someone is building or looking to move into a house, they will think of everything else but the security inside the house. Security should never be an afterthought; it should be built into the DNA of every home. As we design the homes of tomorrow, we must think about how safety, comfort, and technology can coexist. Our goal is to inspire developers and homeowners to see security as an essential part of modern living, not just an add-on,” said Mr. Mbuthia. The event marked a pivotal step in redefining how homeowners and developers perceive and integrate safety in property design. Elements Luxury Living, known for its refined aesthetic and contemporary home designs, provided the perfect backdrop for the showcase, illustrating how innovation and luxury can blend seamlessly to create both secure and visually stunning spaces. In addition, SGA Security urged property developers to explore wireless systems that can deliver greater efficiency, simplicity, and flexibility compared to traditional wired setups. More than just an exhibition, “The Future of Home Security Solutions” represented a vision for the future challenging conventional thinking and positioning SGA Security at the forefront of a movement where protection, innovation, and design converge. As Kenya’s property market continues to expand, SGA Security’s message to developers and homeowners remains clear: integrate security early, design with foresight, provide value, and live with peace of mind.
