Odm Nairobi Chairman Makadara Mp Aladwa Holds Nairobi Delegates Meeting Ahead of 20th Anniversary

Nairobi, Wednesday 12-11-2025: Makadara Member of Parliament and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Nairobi chairman George Aladwa today led over two thousand ODM delegates drawn from Nairobi in a delegates meeting held in Pangani, Starehe constituency ahead of the parties planned ODM at 20 anniversary expected to be held this weekend in Mombasa.
The meeting was also as part of the party’s preparations for the expected party elections that are set to be held at a date soon to be announced.
Aladwa who has declared his interest to vie for Nairobi Gubernatorial seat enjoys massive support from ODM supporters in Nairobi and has emerged as front runner and main man to challenge incumbent Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja in the 2027 elections.
ODM, which is currently the party with the largest number of registered members will be a major force to recon with in the upcoming elections and Aladwa has emerged as the favorite to clinch the gubernatorial seat.
“Nairobi roared in unity today. As your ODM Nairobi Chairman, I had the honour of hosting our delegates as we celebrated our Party Leader, Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga the people’s champion. This is just the beginning as we gear up for ODM@20 in Mombasa,” Aladwa said.
The two term Makadara MP and former Nairobi mayor raised from Makongeni where he honed his political skill as a councilor has been a major political force in Nairobi since the exit of former political bigwigs in the likes of former Westlands MP Fred Gumo, Ex- Embakasi MP the late David Mwenje and former Makadara MP Reuben Ndolo left the political seen in Nairobi.
Aladwa also took the opportunity to introduce the Kariobangi North MCA aspirant Michael Ouma Majua who is contesting for the seat in the November 27 by election following the death of former MCA Joel Munuve.
Majua is projected to win the Kariobangi North seat with several opinion polls conducted in the area putting him a head of his opponents
During the meeting, Aladwa was flanked by Langata MP Hon.Felix Jalang'o, Former Senator Beatrice Kwamboka, ODM Nairobi Youth President and Upper Savannah MCA Stazo Omung'ala Mabatini MCA HonWilfred Odalo among other MPs and Nairobi MCA's.
