ODM Disowns MPs Jalang’o and Gem’s Elisha Odhiambo

Gem Member of Parliament (MP) Elisha Odhiambo and his Lang’ata counterpart, Felix Odiwuor, alias Jalang’o, are no longer members of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party. Speaking on Sunday, November 2, 2025, while accompanying Ruto in Vihiga County, Osotsi chided the pair for attempting to speak on behalf of the ODM party when, according to him, they had been dismissed from the party. “I have seen some MPs stand here and talk about ODM. Our party has structures, and we recently gave out our positions. I would ask the president to address us through the established structure. “When MPs like Elisha and Jalang’o speak, they cannot speak on behalf of the party. We ejected them from the party, and they cannot purport to speak on behalf of the party,” he stated. Osotsi further implored Ruto to engage the party’s top leadership and not any individual associated with or pledging allegiance to the party. “When you see Osotsi, that is an ODM representative. We are the people in the ODM Central Committee, as the top decision-making organ.
