Nairobi United Technical Director Salim Ali has been appointed to take part in the FIFA Assesment Practice Program, which is the last stage of the FIFA coach educator's development pathway. Salim, who is also FKF Education Officer, has succesfully completed all the FIFA coach educators development pathways demonstrating a commitment, expertise, commitment and potential to contribute to the development of future coaches. The assesment has been ongoing for the last 4 years, selecting the best with the current group being the final of 19 participants. Salim will be selected as a FIFA expert in Africa and Asia. The assesment will take place in Rwanda with the first cohort set to be trained from 24th to 27th February, 2026 wile the second cohort will go through the assesment process from 2nd to 5th March, 2026. The FIFA Coach Educator's Development Pathway is a structured program aimed at helping member associations develop, train, and certify their own local coach educators to improve coaching standards globally. Using a blended approach of online learning and in-person workshops, the pathway emphasizes adult learning, reality-based training, and mentorship to create self-supporting football nations.
