The Mombasa NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Fall Season will come to an end on Sunday, November 16, 2025, with the Tour Championship as Junior Golfers battle across different categories at the Nyali Golf & Country Club. The event is set to bring together 58 junior golfers – 43 boys and 15 girls- aged 5 to 18, competing across age-specific categories for both Tour Championship titles and Priority Status points. The Mombasa Tour Championship comes on the back of the Nairobi Tour Championship held earlier in the month at the Muthaiga Golf Club, where James Tino was the standout player of the day as he played 3-under-par in the Boys 9 category to finish ahead of Hakeem Mutungi, who finished top of the standings in the category for the season. Speaking ahead of the Mombasa Tour Championship, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora emphasized the bank’s continued commitment to supporting the growth of junior golf in Kenya. “We are happy to be heading down to the coast for the Mombasa NCBA U.S. Kids Golf Fall Season Tour Championship. Barely two weeks ago, we were at Muthaiga Golf Club for the Nairobi Tour Championship, and the golf played there was a testament to the great talents that lie with our juniors. We will keep supporting these players by ensuring we create pathways for them to explore the game further,” Gachora said. Organized in partnership with U.S. Kids Golf and the Junior Golf Foundation Kenya, with support from NCBA Bank, the tournament will mark the culmination what has been a spirited competition aimed at nurturing and spotlighting junior golf talent in Kenya. At Muthaiga, Adam Nesbitt, who won all the legs that he took part in through the season, played 3-over-par 75 to emerge the winner of the Boys 12 category for the round, taking his total scores for the season to 240 to top the leaderboard. Ashley Gachora finished the season strongly also, playing even par for the day and extending his points to 260 for the season to win it all in the Girls 11-12 category. The US Kids Nairobi Fall Tour remains a key part of the junior golf calendar, providing young athletes a stage to compete, learn, and develop their game in a friendly yet competitive environment. NCBA’s support for junior golf is part of its long-term commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent in the region. Through its investment in junior tournaments, the bank seeks to provide young golfers with the opportunity to build their skills and gain exposure.
