Upper Savannah Member of the County Assembly Stazo Omung'ala has urged Nairobi youths to unite in the efforts to strengthen the Orange party.

During the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Nairobi youth convention held today at the ASK Jamhuri Show Ground, Stazo urged the youth to join in their shared responsibility to build, protect and strengthen the party noting that ODM is not just a political party but a great national movement.

"We gather here united by a shared history and a shared responsibility to build, to protect and to strengthen this great movement," Stazo told the Nairobi ODM youth convention.

The convention, which was officiated by the ODM party leader Siaya Senator Dr. Oburu Oginga.

Stazo noted that the vision for justice, democracy, and accountable leadership which was championed by former Prime Minister, the late ODM party leader Raila Odinga remains the foundation upon which ODM stands.

"We remember with respect the legacy of our party leader, Raila Amolo Odinga. ODM has never been just a party. It is a movement driven by ideals, social justice, equality, integrity and the belief that leadership must always serve the people," Stazo emphasized.

"As both youthful leaders and youth, we are the backbone of this movement. The strength of ODM tomorrow depends on what we do today. This is our moment to strengthen the party," he added.

To strengthen the ODM structures, unity and commitment to the values that define the party, Stazo noted that the party's youthful leaders and followers must move with discipline, purpose, and clarity.

"We must put the party above individual interests and we must remain faithful to the ideals that brought us together. To the youth across the country, stay engaged, stay organized and continue building the party at every level," the outspoken MCA urged.

He called on those stepping forward into leadership to take their leadership roles with integrity, serve with humility and always put ODM first.
