A Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (Sacco) is pursuing guantors to recover monies that were loaned to former Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Chief Executive Officer (Ceo) Harold Ndege.
In a letter dated 9 October 2025, Ushuru Sacco has raised fresh questions about the financial conduct of former FKF CEO Harold Ndege and indicated that it will pursue his guarantors to recover the loan..
The letter shows that a KSh 1.2 million loan allegedly taken out by Ndege went into default, forcing the Sacco to pursue his guarantors for payment.
Some of those guarantors are now reportedly facing surcharges, even though Ndege was earning a salary and hefty allowances while serving as CEO of the Football Kenya Federation.
The situation paints an unsettling picture as guarantors are now left to carry the cost of a loan while the borrower himself failed to keep the account up to date, despite having a steady income from FKF.
The issue has also revived questions about personal responsibility and character, particularly for someone entrusted with running the country’s top football body.
“You are hereby notified that your loan balance of Ksh1, 060, 361 is in arrears. Please make arrangements to clear your outstanding loan and interest within seven days to from the date of this letter, regularize your account, failure to which we will be left with no other option but to list you under the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and recover the same from your guarantor, ” said the letter.
The letter has listed the list of 12 guarantors who face the risk of being pursued by the financial institution to cover the money owed by Ndege to the Sacco.
The revelations come shortly after Ndege’s dismissal by the FKF NEC, reportedly over incompetence and alleged misconduct, adding further weight to concerns about his accountability and leadership skills at the federation.
