KVF President Nyaberi welcomes tranformational betPawa 17 million sponsorship
The Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) President Charles Nyaberi has lauded the sponsorship deal between sports betting firm betPawa and the federation, following a landmark partnership which will see betPawa support KVF to the tune of Ksh 17.3 Million towards supporting and transforming Kenyan volleyball.
While welcoming the sponsorship, Nyaberi described the partnership as a timely support for the federation in its efforts to further motivate players and support the growth of the sport in the country.
“This partnership has come at the right time for Kenyan volleyball. Rewarding players for every league victory will motivate teams to train harder, compete better, and prepare our national teams, the Wafalme Stars and Malkia Strikers,” Nyaberi said.

Sports betting firm betPawa announced a KSh17.3 million sponsorship for the 2026/27 Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National League, introducing a performance-based reward system that will directly benefit players and technical staff.
In its communication, KVF laid down a sponsorship breakdown with a KSh13,632,000 locker room bonus for players and technical staff after every league victory. Additionall, there will be KSh2,726,400 towards the support for the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) and KSh1,000,000 – Prize money for teams during the league finals.
The KVF National League, featuring 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams, remains Kenya’s premier volleyball competition and a key pathway for developing national team talent.
The partnership is expected to boost competition, improve player welfare, and strengthen the future of volleyball in Kenya.
Locker room bonuses will also be distributed with every registered player and member of the technical bench from a winning team receiving KSh4,000 directly via mobile money after each league win.
The initiative will benefit 494 registered players and technical officials across the men’s and women’s leagues.
Additionally, equal rewards for Men and Women will be made available with betPawa reaffirming its commitment to gender equality by ensuring identical bonus payments for both men’s and women’s teams.
betPawa Kenya Country Manager Crispus Mogere said the partnership is about more than financial support, aiming to motivate athletes, strengthen Kenyan volleyball, and create more opportunities for players and technical staff.
