Kiambu gubernatorial aspirant Hon. John Mwaura on Sunday called for unity, community partnership and inclusive development as he joined congregants for worship at AIPCA Towez Githurai Church in Githurai.

Speaking during the church service, Mwaura said the country's future would depend on leaders and citizens working together towards common goals and supporting initiatives that improve livelihoods at the household level.

"Together, let us continue fostering unity, supporting one another, and championing development that uplifts every household. The future we desire will be built through partnership, shared purpose, and unwavering commitment to the common good," he said.

The gubernatorial hopeful also emphasized the importance of servant leadership and regular engagement between leaders and the people they represent.

"Leadership is at its best when it remains connected to the people. Every opportunity to interact, listen, and share with wananchi is a reminder that public service is a responsibility that must be carried with humility, honesty, and commitment," Mwaura noted.

He thanked the church leadership and congregants for the warm reception accorded to him during the Sunday service and fellowship session.

"Today, I joined the faithful at AIPCA Towez Githurai for worship and fellowship. I thank the church leadership and the congregation for the warm welcome and the encouraging conversations we had," he added.

Political leaders across Kiambu County have increasingly turned to churches and community forums to engage residents as early political activities ahead of the 2027 General Election begin to gather momentum.
