Harambee Stars Striker Moses Shumah Joins South African Club, Amazulu, Power Dynamos Confirm In A Statement
Harambee Stars Striker Moses Shumah has joined South African Club, Amazulu, this has been confirmed by the Power Dynamos in a statement.
Shumah has completed a transfer to South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side AmaZulu FC after the Club reached an agreement with the Durban-based outfit. Although he had a year remaining on his contract, the striker has opted to join the South African outfit.
Shumah joined Power Dynamos from Kakamega Homeboyz in July last year and enjoyed a breakthrough season at Arthur Davies Stadium, winning the MTN Super League Golden Boot after scoring 21 goals. He departs the Club having scored 23 goals in all competitions during his time with Power Dynamos," the club statement read.
Following a 17-goal golden boot campaign with Kakamega Homeboyz, the 23-year-old striker secured a transfer to Zambian powerhouse Power Dynamos in July 2025 and completely took the MTN Super League by storm.
Moses Shumah’s debut season in Kitwe was spectacular. Operating as an imposing, high-pressing target man, he netted an astonishing 21 goals to fire Power Dynamos to the league championship with 71 points.
At the MTN FAZ Gala in May 2026, Moses Shumah swept the individual honours, walking away with both the official Golden Boot and the Fans' Player of the Season award.
His clinical finishing and elite hold-up play caught the attention of prominent clubs across North and South Africa, making him Kenya's most wanted attacking asset ahead of the summer window but after long run, Amazulu have won the race.
Shumah, who signed for Power Dynamos in July last year, enjoyed a remarkable first season. His 23 goals across all competitions earned him a trio of prestigious accolades: the league's Footballer of the Year, Fans' Player of the Season, and the Top Scorer award.
