Yusuf questioned why the under 15 teams arrived at the venue late two hours before kick-off time
The embattled Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Harold Ndege has been questioned by the executive about the poor preparations of the national junior teams.
In a letter addressed to Ndege and copied to the federation’s president Hussein Mohamed, the FKF executive committee member Abdalla Yusuf stated they were seeking for answers from the secretariat, following discussions between the technical and youth committees.
They were questioning the CEO as the head of the secretariat on the teams’ preparations, selection, logistics and performances of national under 15 boys and girls teams and under 17 boys team.
The official wants Ndege to explain why the selection of the coaching staff and players was done late.
“What were technical and tactical preparation plans and were they followed. What scouting process was used for team selection,” he questioned.
Yusuf questioned why the under 15 teams arrived at the venue late two hours before kick-off time and when did they get to know that Kenya was to play in the age group tournament.
“Was there a formal request to the Sports and Education ministries on funding and collaboration? Can this be provided,” he asked.
Yusuf expressed his concern over the poor performance of the boys under 17 team in Ethiopia, questioning what caused the technical under performance and why were the coaches and players named late.
