East African AFCON will be a success, CAF boss Motsepe lauds efforts by President Ruto and FKF's Hussein Mohammed

The upcoming Pamoja AFCON 2027 set to be co-hosted jointly by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda will be an astounding success and will be the hallmark which will propel East African football to higher heights.
Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, in his address following the CAF executive meeting held in Tanzania yesterday said that the continental body is confident the the AFCON 2027 will be a celebration at which, many young talents will be identified making the region a football powerhouse.
"AFCON2027 will be a great success. We are going to work together and we will have a celebration to identify the best young boys and girls and East Africa is going to become a powerhouse of the best football in the continent," CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe said.
"We are assured to having a great tournament. I am very proud of (Hussein) Mohammed, the President of Football Kenya Federation (FKF) for his commitment to football and believe this energy will take Kenya and East Africa beyond the horizons," Dr. Motsepe continued.
The CAF President further recorgnised the efforts and support that the Kenyan government has given to the preparations of the Pamoja AFCON next year noting: "Kenya's President William Ruto has given his full support and we even saw him do a beautiful selfie video of the beautiful stadium (Talanta Stadium) that the government is constructing."
Motsepe spoke just days after the a CAF infrustructure team completed a 2-day technical pitch assessment with CAF's Pitch Management Expert, Aaron Mark Cross.
Six venues in Kenya were inspected, including Talanta City Stadium and Nyayo National Stadium, Moi Sports Centre Kasarani, Ulinzi Sports Complex, Utalii Grounds and the Kenya Academy of Sports training facilities.
