Dpp Calls for End to Speculation As Investigations into Hon. Cyrus Jirongo’s Death Intensify

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Mr. Renson Ingonga, CBS, OGW, has called on the public to refrain from speculation as investigations into the death of businessman and politician Hon. Cyrus Jirongo continue. Speaking on behalf of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), Mr. Ingonga led members of staff in condoling with the family of the late Jirongo, describing him as a distinguished entrepreneur, a go-getter, and a visionary leader with exceptional business acumen whose contribution to enterprise and national development will be fondly remembered. The DPP assured the public that investigations into the circumstances surrounding Hon. Jirongo’s death are ongoing, reiterating an earlier clarification by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI). He urged members of the public to avoid speculation, emphasizing that due process will be followed to establish the cause of the accident that claimed the politician’s life. Mr. Ingonga further encouraged the family to remain united and strong during this difficult period, offering his deepest sympathies and prayers for comfort.
