DJ Mo Survives Panga Attack

Music producer Samuel Muraya, also known as DJ Mo, is recovering after he was attacked by suspected robbers near Kenol in an incident that left him injured. The attack was revealed on Friday by his wife, gospel singer and media personality Linet Munyali, popularly known as Size 8 Reborn, who shared the update on social media while thanking God for sparing her husband’s life. In the post, Size 8 said the DJ was attacked by thieves armed with pangas while travelling through the Kenol area. “The devil is a liar! Our God reigns supreme! Jesus Christ is Lord,” she wrote. “Today I post to give God glory for safeguarding my husband’s life. Around Kenol, thieves attacked him with a panga and took his phone, but he is alive. God, you are Jehovah Sabaoth, thank you for preserving life.” She added that several people who were present helped rescue the DJ during the attack. “A big thanks to Tash, Kevo and Ben for the great rescue. God bless you,” she said. Images shared online showed DJ Mo with what appeared to be a deep cut on his upper arm, believed to have been caused during the attack. The DJ later confirmed the incident in a short message to his followers, saying he was recovering. “Thank you, fam. Am better, but their day is coming soon,” he wrote. The attack occurred along the busy Kenol area in Murang'a County, a section of road that connects several major highways used by motorists travelling between Nairobi and central Kenya. Despite the ordeal, Size 8 said she remained grateful that her husband survived the incident, emphasising that his life had been spared. “Dear God, thank you for life,” she wrote. By Friday evening, many fans and fellow gospel artists had flooded the couple’s social media pages with messages wishing DJ Mo a quick recovery. DJ Mo, whose real name is Samuel Muraya, is one of Kenya’s most prominent gospel DJs and media personalities. He has built a large following through his work in gospel entertainment and media over the years. He is also widely known for hosting gospel music shows and supporting emerging gospel artists through his platform.
