Former national under 17 head coach Godfrey Oduor Otieno has joined Sportpesa Premier League side Nairobi United FC. The CAF A license holder joins the club from South Sudan Champions Jamus FC where he worked as Head Coach. Oduor, a highly experienced tactician previously had stints at Kibera Blackstars, KCB FC and Nzoia FC in the top tier premier league. The tactician also has experience at the National level having coached the Junior Stars at the Under 17 and Under 20 level as well as the Harambee Starlets. Coach Oduor will be joining the already indepth Nairobi United coaching staff as the team seeks to make progress in the CAF Confederations cup as well as a top finish in the Sportpesa Premier League. Nairobi United unveiled Godfrey "Solo" Oduor and Benson Omala as their new head coach and striker respectively ahead of the tricky CAF Confederation Cup tie against Azam FC at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday. The former Harambee Starlets head coach Godfrey Oduor is the man replacing Nicholas Muyoti - who crossed over to Kenya Police FC in the same capacity. Nairobi United will host Tanzanian side Azam in the CAF Confederations cup group stage match at Nyayo stadium on Sunday, January 25, 2026 Ticketing has cone on sale from Bigbrother ticketing with the VIP tickets going at Ksh. 500 while regular tickets are selling at Ksh. 200 Tickets for the match will be sold online at https://patatix.com/e/NaiboisVSAzamFC and tickets sales end on Saturday by midnight.
