CFAO Mobility Kenya has crowned winners of the 19th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest after recording the highest number of entries in the competition’s history. A total of 2,153 artworks were submitted by children aged 15 years and below, marking the largest participation since the contest was launched in Kenya 19 years ago. The winners were unveiled during a ceremony held at the company’s head office along Uhuru Highway in Nairobi. In Category One for children aged seven years and below, Joyrene Nduta Ngugi emerged the winner with her artwork My Happy Rainbow Car. In Category Two (8–11 years), Shreyasi Mishra claimed top prize with The Flying Earth Guardian, while Mel Athiang Bol won the oldest category (12–15 years) with The Golden Egret. Speaking during the event, CFAO Mobility Kenya Deputy Managing Director Joshua Anya said the record participation reflects growing enthusiasm among young Kenyans to showcase their creativity. “Two thousand one hundred and fifty-three children chose to imagine a better world. They are not just drawing cars; they are telling us what the future should look like, and we are listening,” he said. The event was graced by Ferdinand Omanyala, Toyota Brand Ambassador, who presented special awards and encouraged young participants to pursue their talents. Among the special recognitions, four-year-old Hailey Lovi Njenga received the Youngest Participant award for Rainbow Car, while Raveena Kaur Matharu of Premier Academy won the Waku Doki Award for My Floral Eco Car. Premier Academy was also recognized as the school with the most entries. The Teachers Award for Most Creative Artwork went to The Bridge Junior Elementary for Dawn of Her Freedom. Brookhouse Schools, Premier Academy, Arya Vedic Academy, Strathmore School and The Bridge Junior Elementary were among institutions whose learners dominated the top positions across categories. Winning schools received dummy cheques during the ceremony, with financial awards set to be disbursed later. The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is a global initiative by Toyota Motor Corporation that invites children to envision the cars of the future through art. Kenyan winners will now advance to the global competition stage, where they will compete for international recognition and prizes.
